Are you struggling with your weight inspite of exercise and healthy eating? It could be a bacteria
Have you been struggling with obesity even though you eat well and exercise frequently?New research shows that some people who are suffering from obesity are not entirely responsible for their weight gain. The research shows that a certain type of bacteria in the foods that you are eating maybe causing you to put on weight. The study was done in Shanghai with mice. The researchers bred these mice to be obesity resistant. The mice were given rich diets andno exercise and they still remained slim. Then the researchers injected those mice with the human bacterium enterobacter. After the injection these mice became obese.
Enterobacter was discovered to be in connection with obesity after researchers found a large amount of it present in a morbidly obese volunteer. In the study the researchers injected the mice with the bacterium for 10 weeks. The results show that enterobacter may contribute to obesity. One of the patients lost a significant amount of weight on a diet of prebiotics, whole grains and traditional Chinese medical food. After nine weeks that patient’s enterobacter levels were nearly undetectable.
Zhao Liping, who is one of the authors of the report, lost 19.5 kilograms (43 pounds) in 2 years on a diet of fermented probiotic foods. Consuming foods like bitter melon helped to balance the bacteria in his gut, resulting in his weight loss. American magazine, Science, claims that Zhao’s work isrelated to traditional Chinese beliefs. It is believed that the stomach is the foundation of health. As of now, over 500 million peoplein the world struggle with obesity.
